This work depicts Yellow Jambhala (Jambhala), one of the most revered Dharma Protectors in Tibetan Buddhism, rendered in the prestigious Black Thangka tradition. Yellow Jambhala is regarded as an emanation of Avalokiteśvara, arising from compassion rather than worldly desire. His vow is not to bestow wealth for indulgence, but to provide the necessary material support for ethical livelihood, spiritual practice, generosity, and the preservation of the Dharma.

The Black Thangka tradition occupies a distinguished position in Tibetan sacred art. Utilizing a dark ground with fine gold linework and natural mineral pigments, it symbolizes virtue concealed within and power held in restraint. Its aesthetic lies not in opulence, but in stillness, depth, and contemplative gravity.

The figure of Yellow Jambhala in this composition appears calm and inwardly composed, embodying the principle that the flow of wealth must be rooted in causality, discipline, and moral conduct.
